SOUVENIR

RELEASE DATE: 14 AUGUST 2026 LIVE ALBUM 13 TRACKS

Robb Johnson Souvenir is a live album recorded at Crazy Coq's at Zedel's Brasserie in Soho on 24 January 2026. It brings together Robb's English chanson material in a journey through songs, cities and memories across Europe.

ABOUT ROBB JOHNSON'S SOUVENIR

Souvenir was recorded live at Crazy Coq's, Zedel's Brasserie, Soho, on 24 January 2026, as part of a series of different gigs commemorating Robb's 70th year on the planet.

The Robb Johnson Souvenir album is a collection of English chanson material, with songs spanning more than 30 years — from 1995's The Night Cafe to 2026's Full Moon Over Aubervilliers, written on New Year's Day.

These are songs located within the experience of Europe. There are Prague trams, German autobahns, Stalingrad and Kensington High Street, Ilmenau Carnival, bars in Belgium, and cafés and couscous in Paris.

A live collection of songs about Europe, memory, travel, place and the people we meet along the way.

THE PERFORMANCE

The album captures Robb and his band in front of a full and very appreciative house at Crazy Coq's, Zedel's Brasserie, Soho. The intimacy of the room and the audience are part of the recording, giving Souvenir the feel of a night being shared rather than simply documented.

AN ENGLISH CHANSON SONGBOOK

Across the thirteen songs, Robb's characters move through cafés, bars, streets, trains and cities. Paris, Prague, Germany, Belgium, Stalingrad and London all become part of a single musical landscape — European places seen through the eyes of an English songwriter.
